Among other things, the UNODC responds to the increasing risks posed by drug trafficking, which remains an acute problem in countries with unstable political systems and ineffective governance. The issue to be addressed in \u201cDrug Trafficking Dynamics Across Iraq and the Middle East\u201d aims to explain the complex and changing structure of the medicinal narcotics in this strategically important region. Iraq and the larger Middle East region are susceptible to drug trafficking due to issues to do with vulnerability, Age, Ladenism and economic instability. These challenges owe to the growth of crime gangs who use regional insecurity to traffic both local and international narcotics.
